The Met (“Metropolis”) Lounge has been an invaluable local venue for up and coming bands/artists since opening in September 1991 and is still going strong today, no doubt adding to an impressive list of bands they have hosted in the past that have gone on to be household names.

The Met Lounge was originally based (1991-1999) at the 5th avenue Nightspot at Laxton Square (former Court building next to the market) and then moved on to its current Bridge Street location in September 1999 ……. a location that used to host nightclubs familiar to 1970s/1980s Peterborians such as “Canters” and “Annabelles”.
